Medical device management within the EESZT system

A national-level backend system was developed to support the ordering and dispensing of medical devices, connecting doctors, pharmacies, and distributors through automated authorization validation.

Problem

The system’s nationwide, real-time operation had to be maintained across two separate sites, each with distinct functionalities and independent databases. Because the network connection between the sites was unreliable, no standard solution could be applied to guarantee synchronization and data consistency between the instances.

Solution

A dedicated module was created between the two systems, with components present on both sides. The module ensures continuous data synchronization, manages potential conflicts, and caches changes in case of connection loss.

When errors are detected, the system sends notifications and allows manual intervention when needed.
